F O X Y

Here's another new Earth Friendly Creation...

I do re-use old buttons for eyes and nose - so these stuffed animals are not meant for young children. They are triple sewn on with very strong thread - but still they are buttons.

H O R S Y

A new addition to the Earth Friendly Creature family.

My sister suggested I do something inspired from the ocean, so I decided to go with a Sea Horse.

I do re-use old buttons for the eyes and nose & they are triple sewn on with strong thread - but still they are buttons. These stuffed animals are not meant for young children.

D O T B E A R

Here's the first member of the Earth Friendly Creatures family... The Dot Bear. "Dot" because I live in Dorchester and everyone calls it "Dot" and because I designed him on my computer using only dots for the shapes... He's made from Recycled Fabrics and will be part of the upcoming show at the Boston Children's Museum called "The Dirty Dozen, 12 Artists and a Ton of Trash".

Currently available at a few shops around Boston, Somerville & Providence, RI - more to come.

I do re-use old buttons for the eyes and nose - they are triple sewn on with very strong thread - but still they are buttons. These stuffed animals are not meant for young children.

EARTH FRIENDLY CREATURES

B U N N Y !

Part of my ever growing family of "Earth Friendly Creatures", Bunny is fun, fluffy and full of personality. Each hand sewn creation is made from re-purposed fabric and 100% recycled fabric produced from plastic bottles. The fabric is milled in Massachusetts and I sew the creatures here in my studio in Boston. They are available at shops around Boston and Cambridge.

My Earth Friendly Creatures and Hand Tied rugs will be featured in an exhibit at the Boston Children's Museum in September in a show titled "The Dirty Dozen, 12 Artists and a Ton of Trash" as part of their reduce, reuse, recycle month.

I do re-use buttons for the eyes and nose - they are triple sewn on with very strong thread - but still they are buttons. These stuffed animals are not meant for young children.

Materials = Recycled Scrap Lumber & Bottle Caps (mostly beer)

Each table, bench, chair, mirror etc - is first handmade and painted a neutral color, then comes the tedious task of hand gluing the caps on with a super strong non-toxic water based adhesive. Other Furnishings are in the works utilizing other recycled materials and scrap items... Stay Tuned.  -
